About The Spring Works
Who We Are
The Spring Works is a testament to family legacy and local industry. Our story began in 1992 when Joann and her late husband, Paul, purchased a small leaf spring arching business. They relocated their operations to a downtown shop and immediately expanded their services to include suspension work and lift kit installations.
As The Spring Works continued to grow, the family grew with it. Bryan joined the team, bringing with him extensive 4WD knowledge and a practical, hands-on skillset that proved invaluable. It was a perfect match—not just for the business, but for the family, as Bryan eventually married Joann and Paul’s daughter.
Today, Bryan and the family have cemented their place in the industry, working together to transform a single-bay shop into a bustling retail showroom with four service bays. What started as a highly specialized spring shop has become the Western Slope’s premier destination for high-quality suspension, trailer repair, snow plows, and lift gates.
We are proud to live here and make a life here. We look forward to continuing to grow with Western Colorado while providing excellent service for years to come.
Meet the Team
These are some of the faces you don’t see every day. Our family of service technicians and office administrators works tirelessly to make sure you leave with a smile on your face. Outside of work, most of them are enjoying the outdoors, often with each other. They work together and play together, too!
Bryan DuBose
Bryan has been with The Spring Works almost as long as we’ve been around.

He has extensive knowledge in all things off-road and usually has an answer to any question you throw at him. Where can you find Bryan when he’s not at the shop? You can’t. He spends his free time exploring remote locations in his Samurai with his wife and son.
Shirley Candelaria
Shirley has been with us for 5 years now.

She has become a valuable addition to the counter, and we are happy to have her here! When she’s not at the shop, you can find her enjoying the outdoors in her Jeep or riding races on her road bike.

Garrett has about 25 years of experience, so he can help you with whatever you need!

Hired originally in 2000, he still remembers learning to arch springs at the old shop on Pitkin Ave. After being away from the shop for a few years, he has returned to his forever home. When he is not at the shop, he’s like most of us around here. Loaded with a rooftop tent and a fridge with food in his JKU, he’s most likely fishing, camping, or exploring the outdoors with his wife and two children.
Olivia the Frenchie
Olivia belongs to Shirley and has been adopted by all of us at the shop.
